![]() This time we would like to tell you a little bit about the setting of our game. Wonderful April Fools’ day, my darling Spring. Something cool and chilly to start this spring with (it’s even snowing in Poland when we’re writing this - yes, at the beginning of April. But is a great tool for you to tell us, what you think about Cryopsace.Īs April begins, we have another episode of DevDiary for you. It may have some glitches, surprises, and shortcomings. Remember, space travelers, this is a demo, not a final game. You should check also the developers' walkthrough through the demo that we are preparing - especially for you. ![]() We have also some not seen before gameplay footage that will be available exclusively. Last but not least, the demo is only part of what we are preparing for you. Because the plot is very important for us - and environmental storytelling is our tool for sharing it with you. And, of course, we are unvailing only a little bit of the storyline. We are also saving for later many monsters and some other kinds of weapons. We are not showing NPCs that later will be helping (or impeding) you. there be some weapons to choose from to help you test those options.īut many things will still wait for you in the full game. Of course, you can test different tactics - trapping enemies, avoiding them, or doing WWCD (you know: What Would Conan Do). You will also experience some resource management elements and a few battles. And that means that you may walk around the destroyed halls of Ascendency more than once to find all clues. Here and there you will find clues that will later allow you to solve the most important puzzle of the game - what happened on the beautiful interstellar ship. It's primarily a plot hook that we've been baiting players with. The beginning of the Cryospace is much easier than later levels. It means that you will see only a glimpse of what we are preparing for you in the final product. So, what should you expect? It will be the beginning of Cryospace, only a few first levels. The demo of our Cryospace game is one of the many that you may play during Steam Next Fest which starts today, the 13th of June, and ends on the 20th of June. Most of it burns up into the atmosphere and the remaining parts fall into the Pacific Ocean, some 2000 km off the coast of South America. We thought that that day would never come. At this point, at an attitude of around 145 km, the main stage separates and follows a side ballistic trajectory during which it is spun on a transversal axis before re-entering the atmosphere. ![]() The Vulcain engine operates for just under 10 minutes before it shutdowns. This element, called JAVE from its name in French "Jupe AVant Equipée", is a major structure of the launcher as it transmits thrust from the two solid boosters to the launcher in order to lift the fully loaded EPC. ![]() Innovative technology and extremely precise welding machines are needed to produce them.Īt the base of the EPC is the Vulcain engine which transmits thrust to the launcher through the aft ‘skirt’, while at its summit is a forward ‘skirt’ linking the main stage to the launcher’s upper stage and upper part configuration. Given the structural characteristics of the main stage, when the tanks are empty they have to be pressurised to prevent them buckling under their own weight. The tanks are only a few millimetres thick: 1.3 mm for the hydrogen and 4.7 mm for the oxygen. Both propellants are produced at plants located inside Europe’s Spaceport in French Guiana. The upper compartment contains 133 tonnes of liquid oxygen and has a capacity of 120 m3, while the lower compartment contains 26 tonnes of liquid hydrogen and has a capacity of 390 m3. The EPC is essentially composed of an aluminium tank with two compartments: one for liquid oxygen and one for liquid hydrogen. ![]()
