I wasn't aware the overlay could take screenshots in that format, but the tool I put together to fix Skyrim's BMPs actually converts them to PNGs as part of the process. PNG also uses compression, but it's lossless - the files tend to be larger than JPGs, but they should exactly match the source images. I doubt the overlay uses max quality, though. If you're playing through Steam you can create screenshots by pressing F12. JPGs use lossy compression to produce lower filesizes, though at maximum quality, I doubt the human eye could spot the difference. Skyrim has a standard screenshot function which you activate by pressing the Print Screen button, screenshots made like this will be placed in the Skyrim installation folder. The images should exactly match what was on-screen when the shot was taken.
